Tiny Tip #5: Log What You Eat

The most popular New Year’s Resolutions usually revolve around getting healthier or losing weight. Following the saying, “what gets measured, gets managed,” one of the best first steps you can take is to measure what you eat in a regular week. There are lots of free online programs that help with this goal, and after you log the first day or two, it usually becomes pretty easy. The free online tool I like lately is Cronometer.


Cronometer rocks because it tracks vitamins, minerals and other nutrients beyond just fat, carbohydrates, calories and sugar. I usually track what I eat for about one week every three months. This keeps me on track with my nutrition without making me obsessive about my food choices. But you’ll find a frequency that works for you. Check. It. Out. 🙂
