John Frye

Name: John Frye

Lives in: North Hollywood, California, USA

From: Born and raised in Bradenton, Florida

Job: Podcast Host. I spend hours preparing and learning someone’s life story, then I interview them and turn it into what I call an “audio-documentary”. Basically, imagine watching a documentary with your eyes closed.  To do that, I add music and sound design to make it feel like you’re in the story with the guest.

Tell us your first three jobs (ever!): My first job was as a day camp counselor, I was hundreds of miles away at my old summer camp as a 16 year old! It was so fun! For my second job, I worked at Dunkin Donuts (a lot less fun). And for my third job, I was a babysitter–I made enough money off that to quit my job at Dunkin Donuts!

Zodiac sign: Cancer

Enneagram type : I’m not 100% sure but I’d guess adaptive Type 9 peacemaker!

What do you love about Greece? I have not been to Greece yet… But someday!

Tell us something most people don’t know about you: I was on an ABC Family show called “Startup U” which was like Shark Tank meets Big Brother. It was quite an experience haha.

Where we are most likely to find you in Lynn’s Kundalini Yoga? Reading the newsletters from my home in North Hollywood.

Tell us your top tip to combat climate change: Use less air conditioning, I’m pretty sure HVAC is the number 1 contributor to climate change.

Anything else you’d like us to know?: If you love stories, you’ll love the podcast called “Inside The Podcaster’s Studio”. We make audio-documentaries covering the life story of this generation’s greatest storytellers, podcasters.  You can find a link to your favorite podcast app here: https://www.insidethepodstudio.com/  We interview all sorts of podcasters. For example, a recent episode is the story of Quentin Michael Allums: How Art Overcame Homelessness, Grief, and Fear.
