Tony the Plumber

Name: Tony (the plumber)

From: Fier, Albania

Lives in: Kato Patissia

Job: Plumber

First three jobs (ever!):  I’ve been a plumber since the age of 15.  My family and I fled Albania during the civil war, and I started working as a plumber four days after arriving in Greece.

Zodiac sign: Aquarius

Enneagram type: Not sure, but Lynn guesses I am a Type 9, Peacemaker.

What do you love about Greece?  I love the life you can have here. The weather is great, there are lots of beautiful outdoor spaces to enjoy, there is freedom, and there are opportunities.

Tell us something most people don’t know about you: I love animals in general but dogs in particular.  When I lived in Albania, I had pigeons that flew free but would come when I clapped for them.  Here in Greece, I have a dog named Ruli (Ρουλη).

Where are we most likely to find you in Lynn’s Kundalini Yoga? Fixing the plumbing at her home or her Airbnbs.

Top tip to help combat climate change:  I think doing simple things like picking up trash and being mindful of recycling can make a big difference.  From a young age, I’ve been very aware of not littering (cleaning up cigarette butts) and not leaving trash around. If we all do our part, these small things add up.

Anything else you’d like us to know?  If you are in the Athens area, I am happy to help you out with any of your plumbing needs. I can be reached via Viber/WhatsApp/mobile at 69 87147212.  I should mention, I only speak Greek…  🙂
