Corfu 2026-Information Sheet

This page is to give you all the information you need for our Corfu 2026 retreat. Please read it carefully. If you still have questions, please message me directly at lynn@lynnroulo.com.

Q: When does the retreat start?

The retreat officially starts with a welcome dinner at 19:00 followed by a breathwalk by the sea on April 26th.  Check in starts at 15:00.

Q:  How will I get to the hotel?

There is a taxi stand at the airport so you can get in line and wait for a taxi.  We are still in the off-season so getting a taxi is usually quite easy.

You also can actually walk (yes walk!) to the hotel.  I walked when I was there earlier in April and it took about 25 minutes. The walk is easy but for those with big luggage, you might prefer the taxi option.

Q:  What hotel are we staying at?

We are staying at the Mon Repo Palace Hotel 4- star hotel in Garitsa.  It is in central Corfu, about a 20 minute walk from Corfu Town. Rooms are comfortable and include all basic amenities.

Nearby you will find plenty of stores, shops, and pharmacies so if you forget something, don’t worry! You will be able to get what you need nearby.

All the hotel rooms are in my name.  I’ll message you separately with your confirmation numbers should you need them. I will be at the hotel starting on April 25th so you can also message me with any questions.

Q: What should I expect for our daily program?

The general schedule will be:

8:00-8:15:  Meet in the lobby to walk to the yoga studio

8:15-9:15: Kundalini Yoga

9:30-10:30: Breakfast

10:30-11:30: Enneagram discussion

12:00-16:00: Sightseeing

16:00-19:00: free time

19:00-21:00: dinner

This is a rough program meant to give you a general idea of our days.

Q:  What should I expect for meals?

The hotel includes a buffet breakfast with plenty of options for all food preferences.

We will eat lunch and dinner together as a group at different restaurants and tavernas all days except Wednesday, your free day. On Wednesday, you are free to do whatever you like for lunch and dinner. I will send a list of nearby places to consider.

Meals provided by the retreat are nutrient-dense, vegetarian meals. We also include basic non-alcoholic beverages.

If you would like alcohol, fish or meat, you are welcome to order/pay for that directly to the venue.  While we  are not strict about your food and drink choices, we do encourage you to consider following a meat-free, alcohol-free program for as many days as possible. You’ll get the most from your experience if you allow your body a detox.

Your free day is a wonderful opportunity to try local fish and meat. We will give you names of places to consider.

Q: What should I expect from the sightseeing?

Expect to walk a lot!  Please bring comfortable shoes and clothes.  The schedule may change (weather dependent) but expect to walk between 10,000-20,000 steps per day.  Movement is medicine, and we are giving you lots of medicine this week! At the same time, don’t be intimidated by the walking. My 83-year old mother came last year and kept up just fine.

We will cover sites including Mon Repos Park, the Old Fortress, the New Fortress, Mouse Island, Vlacherna Monastery, Church of Saint Spyridon, Corfu Town, the Asian Art Museum and more.

Q: What should I wear?

Bring comfortable, layered clothing.  The weather in late April is typically mild and warm but it could cool off at night, and we might even experience light showers,  Be prepared for different types of weather. Bring shoes that support walking 10,000-20,000 steps per day.

In general this is a casual retreat but you will have the option to dress up for our final “night on the town” on Thursday.  If you’ve got a special dress that you love, this is your night to wear it.  🙂

Q: What should I bring?

While the hotel provides toiletries, etc. I always recommend bringing your own as it will make you feel more at ease. It can be disorienting arriving at a retreat. You are sleeping in a new space, eating different food, and surrounded by new people. In order to make your experience as pleasant as possible, I recommend bringing a few familiar things from home (some people like scented candles, your favorite tea bags, a special eye pillow or keepsake, something that grounds you and puts you at ease). You will get into the swing of things within a day or two but this can help your transition.  Here is a suggested packing list:

  • clothing for the sightseeing, yoga and lounging.  Plan to dress in layers as it may get cool at night.  You may want to bring your swim suit as there is a pool at the hotel and a beach across the street.
  • sunscreen
  • bug repellent! There can be mosquitoes so consider bug repellent.
  • a water bottle with a filter. In general, water on Greek islands isn’t recommended to drink.  Consider a bottle with a filter. There are also plenty of places to buy bottled water.

Q: What should I know about the yoga classes?

All yoga classes are all-levels. We will provide yoga mats, but if you have a favorite mat or mat cover of your own, feel free to bring it.

Q: What should I know about the Enneagram discussion?

There is nothing to prepare in advance and I will explain everything as we move through the retreat.

Q: What is our Free Day?

On Wednesday, April 29th, we will have a free day starting after our Enneagram discussion.  You are free to do additional sightseeing, lounge at the pool, go to the beach, etc.  You will also have the opportunity to schedule a 1:1 session with me to talk about anything you would like (the Enneagram, starting a daily yoga practice, next steps in your own life, etc.).  I’ll send a Calendly meeting scheduler via the WhatsApp group to book this session.

Q: When does the holiday end?

We’ll close on Friday, May 1 with yoga in the morning and breakfast and a closing circle ending at 11:00.
