Boost Your Immune System

Highlights from the video:

 

  • Our #1 goal for the next 3 months is simple: Don’t get sick! Don’t get the virus, don’t spread the virus. Try to avoid getting ill at all to minimize going to the doctor/hospital, etc.

 

  • One of the things you can do to help prevent getting sick is to support your immune system.  There are 5 foundational elements to support your immune system:
    1. Get Good Sleep
    2. Be Well-Nourished (eat lots of nutrient-dense, plant-based foods)
    3. Make Sure You Get Enough Vitamin D
    4. Lower Your Stress (yoga and meditation are recommended by the Harvard Medical School).
    5. Exercise!

As a reminder:
  • The science shows the virus can live up to 72 hours (or more) on surfaces.
  • The virus can survive in the air for up to 3 hours (or more).
  • Many people get and spread the virus without having any symptoms themselves.
  • Please be mindful of these facts when you are deciding how and where to go out and interact with others. This is a good moment to be very conservative in your interactions. Be part of the solution, not the problem.
